Ports, projects, and what I build in between.

Engineer, working abroad since 2007.

About

What I do

Working abroad since 2007. Started at an iron and steel plant in Azerbaijan, then years across Oman, Cape Town, and Türkiye in between. Heavy industry and, above all, marine and port construction, plus a bridge and a dam along the way. Currently in Libya. Technical office / project control, mostly.

Why this site

Side outputs from a long career abroad pile up: small tools built because nothing else fit, music experiments, a Pokemon game my son and I play, notes from years of building reporting systems. They don't really fit LinkedIn, and I'm not active on social otherwise. So they live here.

How I approach it

Practical first. Empirical over theoretical. Real systems beat paper-perfect plans. Ship, observe where it breaks, revise. Discipline before polish.
